Mailpilot's Claude connector

Let your own Claude run your store's email. You say yes before anything goes out.

Mailpilot is an email app for Shopify stores. Its Claude connector lets your Claude read how your emails do and make drafts: automatic emails, campaigns, popups and A/B tests. Each one waits on your "Waiting for your OK" list in Mailpilot.

Claude can't send, schedule, publish or delete anything. It never sees your customers' names or email addresses.

  • Reads your results

What each email earned and cost, what works and what to fix first.

  • Builds drafts

Ready-made automatic emails written for your brand, campaigns and popups.

  • Tests ideas

A/B tests judged on clicks and sales, never on opens.

  • Asks you first

Every draft goes to your OK list with a short note on why.

Connect

One link for every store. No store address to type.

You need Mailpilot on your Shopify store and a Claude account. Pick the Claude you use.

The link: https://app.trymailpilot.com/mcp

  1. 1

    Claude's connector directory

Coming soon. Once Mailpilot is listed, open Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors. Find Mailpilot and click Connect.

  2. 2

Claude on the web, desktop or phone

Open Customize, then Connectors. Click Add, then Add custom connector. Name it Mailpilot and paste https://app.trymailpilot.com/mcp. Click Continue if you see it. If Claude asks which OAuth client to use, choose Register automatically. Click Add, then Connect.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it first: Organization settings, then Connectors, then Add, then Custom (pick Web if asked), with the same link and Register automatically. Then you click Connect next to Mailpilot.

  3. 3

    Claude Code

Run claude mcp add --transport http mailpilot https://app.trymailpilot.com/mcp in your terminal. Then type /mcp, pick mailpilot and sign in.

Already added Mailpilot in Claude on the web? Claude Code shows it too when you use the same Claude account.

Then say yes in Shopify

  • Your browser opens Mailpilot inside your Shopify admin. Nobody asks you to type your store's address.
  • You see "Claude wants access to Mailpilot for" and your store's name.
  • Click Approve. Or click "Approve, but only let it read" if you want no drafts. Or Deny.
  • Claude is connected. Ask it: "Use Mailpilot. How are my emails doing?"

More than one store?

Shopify opens the store you used last, so check the name before you click Approve. If Shopify says "There's no page at this address", that store doesn't have Mailpilot: switch to your Mailpilot store in Shopify, then click Connect in Claude again.

Each connection is for one store. For a second store, open Mailpilot in that store, go to Your Claude and add the link it shows there as a second connector.

What it can do

33 tools. 17 read, 16 make drafts.

17 tools only read. The other 16 make drafts, suggestions, groups and pictures. None of them can send, schedule or publish.

It can read

  • Store brief (start here): the whole store in one look. Money, what works, what to fix first and what waits for you.
  • Store profile and brand: your logo, colors, fonts, voice, standing offer, markets and languages.
  • Results and ROAS: what email earned and what it cost, for the store and for each email.
  • List automatic emails (flows): every automatic email, how it does, and the ready-made ones you don't have yet.
  • Flow details: one automatic email series, step by step.
  • List campaigns: your campaigns, newest first, with results for the sent ones.
  • Campaign details: one campaign. Who gets it, when, and each version.
  • List products: your active products, prices and best sellers.
  • Product details: one product. Photos, variants, stock and prices per country.
  • List groups (segments): your saved groups and ready-made ones, with how many people are in each.
  • Count a group: how many people match a group. Counts only, never names.
  • Campaign template gallery: Mailpilot's ready-made campaign templates.
  • Pictures you can use: your product photos, Shopify Files, uploads and logo.
  • List A/B tests: every test and what it found so far.
  • A/B test result: one test's full result, version by version.
  • Mailpilot playbook: how to do each job well, from subject lines to offers and popups.
  • Upcoming occasions: coming sales dates in your main market and when to start.

It can make, for your OK

  • Create a flow from a proven blueprint: a ready-made automatic email series, written for your brand, as a draft.
  • Create a custom flow (draft): its own trigger and steps, as a draft.
  • Change a flow (as a draft): changes a draft, or makes a draft copy of a live one. A pause goes to you.
  • Suggest a better version of a flow email: a new version you keep or throw away.
  • Create a campaign draft: from a template or from Claude's own email.
  • Change a draft campaign's audience or time: who gets a draft and when. Nothing is scheduled until you say yes.
  • Suggest a better version of a campaign email: a new version you keep or throw away.
  • Create a group: saves a new group from a rule. Swapping out an old group waits for your OK.
  • Make a group from what the store sells: a group from one collection or one product type.
  • Propose a discount: a discount that stays off until you turn it on, with a margin check.
  • Add a picture: adds a picture to your library, from a link or a file.
  • Create an A/B test: a test as a draft, or an idea you start yourself.
  • Propose a test winner: asks you to keep the winner, only when the numbers show one.
  • Draft a better popup: a new draft of a signup popup. The live one stays as it is.
  • Set the recurring campaign plan: suggests your weekly campaign plan. It waits for your OK.
  • Ask the owner to approve: puts a ready draft on your "Waiting for your OK" list.

Privacy and questions

What does Claude see?

Your store's settings, products, emails and results, as totals. It never gets your customers' names, email addresses or orders one by one. It reads only when you ask it something.

Where does the data go?

From Mailpilot to your own Claude account, and nowhere else. Anthropic handles it under the terms of your Claude account. Read our privacy policy for the rest.

What does Mailpilot keep?

A list of what your Claude changed and why, which you see under Your Claude. Claude's sign-in key lasts one hour and renews itself. If Claude doesn't use Mailpilot for 30 days, you sign in again. Removing Mailpilot from your store ends every connection.

Does Mailpilot charge for Claude?

No. Claude bills you directly. We never charge for AI or take it from your balance.

Can I install Mailpilot today?

Not yet. Mailpilot is in review for the Shopify App Store. The connector works for every store that has Mailpilot.

How do I disconnect?

In Mailpilot, open Your Claude and click Disconnect Claude. Or remove the connector in Claude. Drafts it already made stay where they are.

Who do I ask for help?

Write to support@trymailpilot.com or see our support page. We answer Monday to Friday.
